Slaying of gay Idaho teen goes unobserved

By Q Tribune Staff

The murder of a gay Twin Falls teen has gone largely unnoted by all major news agencies in the state of Idaho. Dale Miller was killed on September 7, 2007 by two men allegedly over a monetary dispute. His roommate, Rachel Madrid, was recently arrested for theft of property from Miller's home.

Miller was murdered and his body stuffed into a large barrel and left in a garage of a Twin Falls home. The crime went unnoticed for several days until Twin Falls police received an anonymous tip and searched the home. Miller's murder was front-page news for a few days and then was relegated to oblivion in the news world.

No news report yet has mentioned that Miller was a popular gay citizen of Twin Falls, nor that his attackers may have been motivated by more than money. The motive for the crime was allegedly a $60 unpaid debt for drugs (Miller had only $120 of the $180 he owed his dealer).
